About

Welcome to my site!  The first thing to know about me is that I am unashamedly passionate about the Word of God. It has been my joy to encounter the love of God the Father, to catch a vision of Jesus Christ, and to experience the presence of the Holy Spirit as I engage with Him through Scripture.  It has been a life-long delight. As a child, I’d discuss Bible stories with my Grandmother as she made bread and I’d sit enthralled when my father preached. While an undergraduate, I led bible studies in my dorm and taught others how to study the bible.  As a mother of five, my love of the Word overflowed into Scripture songs, found expression in performed parables and expanded into long discussions of Scripture with my teens. My heart as a conference speaker was for listeners to encounter Christ and to go home with tools for life.  As youth pastor it was my joy to see Christ formed in students, healing manifest, and genuine community develop as together we studied, prayed and worshiped. Indeed, study of the Word of God is an act of worship for me, bringing me to tears and making me catch my breath in wonder at the Living God. As a result, digging into the Word—individually and with others—is something I cannot, not do.  I am fascinated by the vision of Christ and God the Father found within its message.  It is my joy when others find Him too.

I have recently completed a post-graduate degree in which I focused on the Portraits of Christ in the Book of Revelation. In response to the requests of others and with the desire of making John’s Apocalypse more accessible, I offer my observations. As you read Revelation, may you too be captivated by Jesus Christ—Redeemer, Exalted Lord and Coming King.

To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood— and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
